Establishment: Maharashtra State Other Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation was established vide Government of Maharashtra Resolution of - Social Welfare, Cultural Affairs and Sports Department No. इमाव १०९६/प्र. क्र.395/ विघयो -२, dated 25th September, 1998 on 23 April 1999 (under the Companies Act, 1956).

Shamrao Peje Kokan Itar Magasvarg Arthik Vikas Mahamandal was established vide Government Resolution of Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, No- कुविम २००६ / प्र. क्र. २८९ / विघयो - २, dated 25 August, 2009 on date 18th June,  2010 (under the Companies Act, 1956) as a Subsidiary Company of the Corporation for Kokan Region.
