Nature of Scheme :

Ustod workers in the state have to constantly roam for employment. As a result, there is no stability in the education of their children. Due to the same, education of the children of Ustod workers gets disrupted or they deprive of education.  To overcome with the said problem and to facilitate education along with accommodation and food to these students, Government has sanctioned two primary residential ashram schools from 1st to 7th standard at Kej and Parali Vaijnath, Dist.Beed.  Also, from the year 2010-11, these ashram schools have been approved to start classes of 8th to 10th standard.

Conditions of Scheme:

  1. Beneficiary student should be son/daughter of Ustod worker.

2. Beneficiary student should be a resident of Maharashtra.

Nature of Benefits:

1) Meals and accommodation, educational materials, books and uniforms, bedding, sports equipment, health facilities are provided free of cost to son/daughter of Ustod worker.

2) Nourishment grant of Rs.1500 / - per month per student for 11 months in primary school and 10 months in secondary school is provided to NGOs.

3) 100% salary grant is provided to the recognized teachers and employees for residential students.  Also, 8% of annual expenditure on salary of recognized teachers for residential students and 8% of annual expenditure on salary of recognized employees of hostel department is provided as non-salary grant for Primary Ashram school.  12% of annual expenditure on salary of recognized teachers for residential students and 8% of annual expenditure on salary of recognized employees of hostel department as per 6th Pay Commission is provided as non-salary grant for Secondary Ashram School.

4) 75% of the rent sanctioned by the Public Works Department is provided as Building rent to the institution.
